Applying an SSL certificate to your domain can be an irritating task as it requires time and effort to complete. To some, it can be confusing for those not already at ease with the SSL lingo. However, at RapidTechHosting, we like to simplify things and with that being said, we have now implemented a new system that allows you to install your SSL certificates with just a few clicks of your mouse!

It goes without saying that you will need to purchase an SSL Certificate first before being able to set one up! You can choose from our selection which can be found at: https://rapidtechhosting.com/ssl-certificates.php Make sure to do some research before purchasing to find out exactly which SSL certificate would be best suited for your site.

Once you’ve purchased your certificate, you will need to get the AutoInstall SSL token code from either the email confirmation you are sent when you purchased the certificate or from the RapidTechHosting client area.

In the email, you will find a token code which you will need to activate the certificate. To get it from RapidTechHosting, under the “Your Active Products/Services” section, select the SSL certificate. From there, you can find out all the information about that specific certificate – including the token code.

Take note of the token code then login to your cPanel. Under the “Security” tab, select AutoInstall SSL. From there you will be prompt to paste the token code into the appropriate field to get the process started. Finally, you will need to select the domain you wish to secure and apply the SSL to then add in some details.

The process will then apply your SSL certificate to that domain. It may take some time to install so be patient while the system implements the certificate. Once the process is complete, you can now relax knowing that your domain is now safe and secured with your new SSL certificate.

If you need to reinstall or view the settings for your certificate, simply head back to the RapidTechHosting client area and select the SSL certificate under “Your Active Products/Services”.
