Dear Clients,
As we continue to provide quality services, we are proud to announce that we now offer Two-Factor Authentication because we simply care about our your security. So here is all you need to know!

How does it work?

We make use of a time based tokens system which works with any OATH software such as Google Authentication for Android and Apple’s OATH Token App for iOS. Once you activate Two-Factor Authentication, you will be required a second form of Authentication that only you, the user will have access to. This Authentication comes in the form of a 6 digit passcode which expires every 30 seconds.

Why do i need this?

We are aware that some users tend to use the same password for all their logins. In the event that your password is revealed to a malicious user, they can potentially gain access to all other sites where the same password is used for the login. Two Factor Authentication puts a stop to that by requiring you, the user who successfully logged in with a user & password combination to use a physical device you posses for further verification.

How do i get started?

You can activate this in the Security settings athttps://rapidtechhosting.com/clients/clientarea.php?action=security Once the Two Factor Authentication is activated, you will be presented with a Quick Response Code (QR Code) to scan using either your smartphone or tablet device. Once this is done, your device will store the authorization to generate a passcode and authentication to our client area. Note: Every 30s a new code will be generated through the OATH application of choice which will be used as the second form of authentication.
